Power restored to 300 in Raleigh after contractor hits underground lines

More than 300 Duke Energy customers in Wake County were without power on Saturday morning after a contractor not associated with the company struck an underground power line.

RALEIGH, N.C. — More than 300 Duke Energy customers in Wake County were without power on Saturday morning after a contractor not associated with the company struck an underground power line.

Duke officials said the affected customers were in the area near the intersection of Interstate 440 and Capital Boulevard.

Power was restored to customers before 2 p.m.
