Power was out across North Carolina State University's Raleigh campus on Friday morning for about an hour.

The university's emergency management department tweeted the alert just after 8:30 a.m. By 9:30, power had been restored.

Asha Crews said her 6-year-old son, Sincere, was placed in a "restraint chair" inside a broom closet at Mariam Boyd Elementary. Crews said the closet has no air conditioning and showed signs of mold.
