Power outage affects 2,200 customers in Cary

More than 2,000 customers were without power in Cary Friday night.

CARY, N.C. — More than 2,200 customers were without power in Cary Friday night due to an underground line failure, according to a Duke Energy Progress spokesperson.

Power went out just before 11 p.m. Friday night and was restored by Saturday. 

Officials said the customers affected lived in an area off SW Cary Parkway near High House Road.
