FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Crews restored power in Fayetteville after a major power line failed early Monday, leaving 13,000 people in the dark during the morning commute.

The outage happened shortly after 7 a.m., and power was back on by 9 p.m.

Authorities say one of three major power lines feeding the city went out because of a faulty circuit breaker.
