Pittsboro, N.C. — Chatham County sheriff's deputies who pulled a man over for a traffic stop got more than they bargained for when the smell of marijuana wafted from the car of Julandus Answan Foushee.
Foushee, 21, of 2004 Homestead Road in Chapel Hill, admitted to possession of the drugs and Cpl. Chris Marioles and Cpl. Phillip Richard seized more than 246 grams of marijuana from his car.
They charged Foushee with felonious possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, felonious possession of marijuana, felonious maintaining a vehicle for controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was jailed under a $25,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on July 6.
