Possible remains of missing Hope Mills woman found, two suspects arrested

Officials believe they have found the remains of a missing Hope Mills woman, and two suspects are charged in her disappearance and believed death.

HOPE MILLS, N.C. — Officials believe they have found the remains of a missing Hope Mills woman, and two suspects are charged in her disappearance and believed death.
Rebecca Fellows, 40, who is also known as Rebecca Garcia-James, disappeared on July 8. She was last seen getting into a 2018 Dodge Challenger on Legion Road near Manna Church.
On Thursday, detectives announced the arrests of Beverly Ann Harris, 36, of Raeford, and Miguel Angel Navarro, 33, of Hope Mills.

On Thursday, detectives announced the arrests of Beverly Ann Harris, 36, of Raeford, and Miguel Angel Navarro, 33, of Hope Mills. Both were charged with first-degree murder, first-degree rape, first-degree kidnapping and conspiracy. They were being held without bond in the Cumberland County Detention Center.

Officials said they believe they have found Fellow's remains, but they still need to confirm the identity.

Hope Mills Police and the State Bureau of Investigation have been collecting evidence and following leads since Rebecca Fellows disappeared on July 8.
