Popular Raleigh coffee shop to open third location

Posted November 17, 2020 10:45 a.m. EST

— Jubala Coffee shop will be opening its third Raleigh location in North Hills, Kane Realty Corporation announced Tuesday.

Jubala opened its first location in north Raleigh's Lafayette Village in 2011. There is a second Jubala location on the first floor of the Aloft Hotel on Hillsborough Street.

The North Hills location will be on the ground level of Park Central Apartments facing Coastal Credit Union Midtown Park. It is expected to open in the spring and will feature a new pastry program, a full coffee bar with bar seating and a new food menu that will include weekend brunch.

The North Hills location will also be unique in that it will house the shop's first in-house coffee roasting operation. It is something Jubala owner Andrew Cash envisioned doing when he first visited a coffee farm on the hill of Mount Kenya in 2001.

“North Hills is a connector and leader in our city, and we can’t think of a more perfect place to expand than North Hills’ Park Central alongside other local friends like Arrow, Happy + Hale, and Vita Vite,” Jubala owner Andrew Cash said. “We are excited to share a new coffee experience with North Hills’ visitors and to have the North Hills community join us as we create the Jubala our team always envisioned – one that is fully engaged with the supply chain, celebrating our success with the most vital participant, the farmer.”

Jubala is a finalist for the 2020 WRAL Voters' Choice Award for best local coffee. Voting ends on Sunday, Nov. 22.
