DURHAM, N.C. — Disney movie fans are excited about Frozen, the stage musical, currently running at the Durham Performing Arts Center.

The Kingdom of Arindelle freezes over again with two sisters in the middle of the storm.

The costumes by award winning designer Christopher Oram are under the care of the head of wardrobe Tess Weaver.

"Unlike any other show that I’ve worked on, this is all the trim and the fabric. It is sourced from 17 different countries around the world," said Weaver.

She said she's proud to say the fur on many garments are all "faux fur."

Many characters in the drama wear an Arindelle pendant or logo representing the mythical kingdom. That includes princess Anna played by Lauren Nicole Chapman, a native of Detroit.

Chapman loves the designs as well as the overall theme of the story which she calls a "sisterhood connection."

"I think what is so important is that, especially in this time, is to see two strong women lifting each other up and realizing that their differences only make them stronger and their connection even better," she said.

Chapman said the music is still fresh and beautiful.

"You will sing all the songs that you fell in love with in the move plus about a dozen more," said Chapman.

"It’s just as sparkly as you can imagine. The magic, it really does come to life."

Of course, the musical includes the most well-known song from the animated version "Let it Go."

However, Chapman said you won’t hear it quite like it’s now performed on stage.

Tickets are on sale now and production continues until Oct. 2.
