Carrboro, N.C. — A popular work of art has mysteriously turned into a blank slate.
A mural depicting the eclectic community was featured on a wall on the side of the Jade Palace restaurant in Carrboro.
Police said three men told them a man came up to them outside the homeless shelter and said he would pay them to paint it.
The three men painted the mural, but the man did not make good on his promise. Police cannot find the individual.
The mural was painted years ago as a benefit for a local charity.
