Pop-Up Shop in Smithfield with pre-ordered protein, frozen, paper products on April 22

Update: As of April 22 at 12:10 am, the protein and paper products bags have sold out. The kit with frozen vegetables and pasta is still available to order.

According to their Facebook page event post, "The Triangle East Chamber of Commerce has been proud to help connect our businesses and our communities to needed resources during the COVID-19 crisis. In efforts to ensure residents of Johnston County have access to food and cleaning supplies, the Chamber has partnered with Sysco of Raleigh (located in Selma, NC)."

There is a limit of 2 of each kind of bag per person and there are only 100 total bags per category available to pre-purchase.

The pre-purchased bags must be picked up on Wednesday, April 22 between 12 pm and 3 pm at the Triangle East Chamber of Commerce (located at 1115 Outlet Center Drive in Smithfield, NC).

Directions from the event page indicate that customers should use the Carolina Premium Outlet’s main entrance (under the sign), follow the entry road until it ends, take a right turn, and continue to the back of the Chamber where a delivery tent will be stationed.You will need to drive up to the tent behind the Chamber building, give them your name and they will put the bags you ordered in to your trunk.

All current government and CDC recommendations will be followed.

Following are the prices and contents. As you will see, these are not discounted prices, but they are a good mix of products to get you through a couple weeks and help you avoid going in to the store.

Plus, because the bags are pre-ordered and pre-paid, there will not be thousands of people waiting in line hoping to get a bag. They are only selling the number they have available so you know you will get one if you place an order and pre-pay online.
