Raleigh, N.C. — The Triangle metropolitan area will be under a Code Orange health notice on Wednesday, N.C. Division of Air Quality officials said.
A Code Orange is also in effect for Charlotte and Hickory due to elevated levels of air pollution.
People who are sensitive to air pollution – including the very young, the very old or those with lung conditions – should limit outdoor activity under Code Orange conditions, especially in the hottest parts of the day.
