RALEIGH, N.C. — Police said Wednesday they are still investigating the death of a Raleigh woman found dead in her North Raleigh townhome last month.

Officers responded to calls about a deceased woman in the 4000 block of Southwind Drive shortly before 4 a.m. on June 15 and found Patricia Allabach Brumfield, 48 unconscious.

A search warrant returned Tuesday states police were looking at the possibility Brumfield might have been murdered. The warrant states she had bruises on her body and that there was broken furniture inside the townhome.

Police won't comment on the case, saying only that Brumfield's death is classified as a deceased person case.
