Police seek identity theft suspect
DURHAM, N.C. — Police on Tuesday were trying to identify a woman wanted on identity-theft charges.

The woman has been using the identification of a woman named Ebet Cortez from Texas. Cortez recently discovered the fraud when she applied for health insurance.

In the past four years, the woman has used Cortez’s identification to obtain jobs at Whole Foods, Dewhit Inc. and the Sheraton Imperial Hotel in the Durham area. The woman is wanted on three counts of identity theft.
