FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police are searching for two teens in connection with their investigation into the shooting death of an 18-year-old earlier this month.

Karon Howard was found sitting in a car just after midnight on April 8 at the intersection of Cliffdale and Reilly roads. He had been shot and died of as a result of his injuries later in the day, authorities said.

Police on Tuesday named Erza Elliott, 16, and Tajj Elliott, 16, as persons of interest in connection with the case.

Authorities are seeking help from the public in locating the teens, who were last seen over a week ago in the area of Bunce Road near Waddell Drive.

Authorities said the teens are related to one another.

Police have previously released surveillance images of a person and vehicle they were searching for in connection with the investigation.

There is a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest in the case.
