Police: Man who tried to rob 3 Wells Fargo banks in 10 days taken into custody

Police have arrested a man who robbed two Raleigh banks and tried to rob another within a 10-day span.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Police have arrested a man who robbed two Raleigh banks and tried to rob another within a 10-day span.

Spencer Boucha was taken into custody on Thursday and was charged with two counts of common law robbery and two counts of attempted common law robbery.

Someone robbed a Wells Fargo Bank on Wednesday afternoon, the Raleigh Police Department said.

Around 3:58 p.m., someone entered the bank at 4321 Glenwood Ave., passed a note demanding money and ran from the building, police said.

Police identified Boucha as the suspect in Wednesday's robbery as well as the robbery of the Hillsborough Street Wells Fargo on Oct. 3 and an attempted robbery at the New Bern Avenue Wells Fargo location on Wednesday, Oct. 11.

Raleigh police did not find weapons, and there were no injuries reported.

Police did not release how much money was stolen.
