<b>FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.</b> — Fayetteville police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 24-year-old woman. 

Erica Cherie Gainey was last seen on Tuesday around 2:30 a.m. leaving her home in a white Hyundai Elantra. 

Due to the suddenness of her disappearance, police believe she might be in danger.

Gainey is described as 5-foot-6 and about 135 pounds. 

Anyone with information on Gainey's whereabouts is asked to call the Fayetteville Police Department at 910-433-1530 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-TIPS (8477).
