Police search for missing Durham woman, son

Police said Friday that they were trying to locate a Durham woman and her 2-year-old son who have been missing since last weekend.

DURHAM, N.C. — Police said Friday that they were trying to locate a Durham woman and her 2-year-old son who have been missing since last weekend.

Rossibel Vides Ramirez, 25, and her son, Jeremy Josue Romero Vides, were last seen at about 9:15 p.m. Saturday in the Walmart store at New Hope Commons, police said.

Ramirez’s husband told officers he was shopping with his wife and son when he went to another part of the store to buy a few items. When he returned to the front of the store, his wife and son were no longer there, and he hasn't seen them since, he told police.

The mother and son were reported missing Tuesday night.

Ramirez is Hispanic, 5 feet tall and about 130 pounds. She has brown eyes and black hair. The boy is Hispanic, 2½ feet tall and about 30 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

Police said they had no description of the clothes the two were last seen wearing.
