RALEIGH, N.C. — Homes were evacuated from a Wake County neighborhood Wednesday night as authorities responded to another residence in the area.
A large police presence responded to a home on Bowling Farm Court near Ten-Ten Road at about 9:15 p.m. and several officers were seen wearing protective gear.
Residents told WRAL News that they were asked to evacuate their homes and that they were concerned a man inside the home officers were called to may have weapons inside.
Authorities said the initial call came in as a domestic disturbance.
