Police remove suspicious device left at Aurora Best Buy store on Thanksgiving

Aurora police have removed a suspicious device left at the Best Buy at Southland's Mall late Thursday night.

AURORA, COLORADO — Aurora police have removed a suspicious device left at the Best Buy at Southland's Mall late Thursday night.

Around 11 p.m. Thursday, Aurora police tweeted that officers evacuated the store and the parking lot.

About 40 minutes later, police said the device was removed by the bomb squad and their robot. Police are continuing to investigate the incident.

Best Buy remained closed overnight and will reopen at 8 a.m. Friday morning.
