Police release photos of man who robbed Durham bank in broad daylight

Durham police are searching for the person who robbed a bank Thursday afternoon.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police are searching for a man who robbed a bank Thursday afternoon.

Officers responded to the Wells Fargo at 2000 West Main Street after 12:15 p.m. They said a man wearing a medical mask and hat pulled down over his face entered the bank and handed a teller a note demanding money.

The man fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No one reported seeing a weapon, and no injuries were reported.

Witnesses described the suspect as a tall white male in his late 30s. The man was wearing a gray or blue shirt with printing on the front, a camouflage hat with a Chevrolet logo on the front and green and red or orange gloves.
