Police release photo in 'Peeping Tom' probe
Fayetteville police are seeking information on two men who have been seen in an area where multiple "Peeping Tom" incidents and a sexual assault have recently taken place.Posted — Updated
The men were photographed in the area of Bear Creek Circle at 7:45 a.m., 2:30 a.m. and at 8:45 p.m. during the past week, police said Friday.
Early Monday, a woman on Bear Creek Circle was attacked after a man knocked on her door and pulled her outside when she answered, police said.
The incident followed one in which a man tried to grab a 16-year-old girl from another Bear Creek Circle home. The girl was in the kitchen at about 2 a.m. when she heard someone jiggling the handle to the front door and then tapping on a back window.
The girl wasn't hurt, and her screams scared off the man, who jumped a fence and ran off. Police arrived a few minutes later.
The same man may have tried to get into a woman's house on nearby Winnabow Drive on June 5, police said.
Anyone with information on the incidents is asked to call Fayetteville police at 919-433-1856 or Crime Stoppers at 919-433-TIPS.
