Police offer cash reward in search for man charged in Morrisville kidnapping

Morrisville police are offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of a man accused of kidnapping two kids earlier this month.

MORRISVILLE, N.C. — Morrisville police are offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of a man accused of kidnapping two kids earlier this month.

Police said Kalil Juwan Stewart, 26, kidnapped two children, ages three and four, following an altercation with their mother on June 19.

Authorities said the mother was removed from her car and Stewart fled in the vehicle with the children, who were found safe less than an hour after the incident was reported.

Stewart has remained at large since the incident and authorities are offering a $500 reward for information that leads to his arrest.

Stewart is charged with two counts of kidnapping, larceny of a motor vehicle, misdemeanor larceny and interfering with 911 communications.
