Police: Missing Fayetteville teen may be headed to beach

Manina Whitted, 16, was reported missing by her family on Tuesday and was last seen on foot near her home in the 600 block of Rodie Avenue

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police are searching for a teenage girl who has been missing from her home for the past two days.

Manina Whitted, 16, was reported missing by her family on Tuesday and was last seen on foot near her home in the 600 block of Rodie Avenue. Police said she may be heading to an unknown beach.

Whitted is described as being black with brown hair and brown eyes. She is 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 135 pounds. Authorities said she has a tattoo of a flower on her right wrist and has piercings in both ears and on her naval.

She was last seen wearing black pants and a black tank top with a picture of Marilyn Monroe on it.
