Police: Man with knife stole money from Wake Forest dry cleaners

Authorities are investigating an armed robbery at a Wake Forest dry cleaners Wednesday evening.

WAKE FOREST, N.C. — Authorities are investigating an armed robbery at a Wake Forest dry cleaners Wednesday evening.

Wake Forest police said a man with a knife forced an employee at Triangle Dry Cleaners, at 3325 Rogers Road, to hand over an undisclosed amount of cash at about 6:20 p.m.

Police said the suspect fled on foot and the employee, who was not harmed, called 911 to report the incident.

The man is described as being black with short hair and a slender build. He was wearing dark clothing and is believed to be between the ages of 18 and 22.
