Police: Man drove off Raleigh road to hurt passenger
An 18-year-old Durham man faces charges Sunday after police say he intentionally drove off a Raleigh road to hurt his passenger.
Posted — UpdatedRALEIGH, N.C. — An 18-year-old Durham man was facing charges Sunday after police say he intentionally drove off a Raleigh road to hurt his passenger.
Aleisha Lenee Byrd, 27, of Raleigh, was taken to WakeMed to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Prince Lavonte Rogers was charged with second-degree kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, assault on a female, careless and reckless driving, driving while license revoked and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
Raleigh police said Rogers crashed into a grove of trees in the 5900 block of Lead Mine Road around 7:20 p.m.
