Police: Man dies after being shot numerous times in Fayetteville

A Spring Lake man was arrested Friday in connection with a Thursday night shooting death in Fayetteville.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Spring Lake man was arrested Friday in connection with a Thursday night shooting death in Fayetteville.

The shooting happened around 6:30 p.m. in the 300 block of Vancouver Drive.

Police said when they arrived, life-saving measures were performed on Quincy Devone Lewis until he could be transported to a local hospital. But he died on the way to the hospital.

Damon Devon Henry, 26, was charged with voluntary manslaughter and was being held in the Cumberland County jail under $200,000 bond.
