— Police are looking for a man who damaged 10 large, irrigated planters on Fayetteville Street early Wednesday morning.

The man broke the planters by tipping them off the stands they sat on, causing around $50,000 in damage, authorities said.

Police say the man was wearing a green T-shirt with a light horizontal stripe across the front, light colored shorts with dark stripes running down the legs, black sneakers and a head covering that appeared to be a do-rag or a hat turned backwards. He also had a light colored backpack.

Anyone who thinks they may know the suspect or anyone with information is asked to call Raleigh Crime Stoppers at 919-834-4357.
