FUQUAY-VARINA, N.C. — Fuquay-Varina police have launched an investigation into a case of three children who police said were forced out of their home by their mother.

A search warrant to search the family’s home said a 14-year-old, 15-year-old and 16-year-old claimed they were beaten repeatedly with an HDMI cord, a belt and fists. The teens also claim they were forced to write sentences repeatedly and clean the kitchen with a toothbrush.

Child Protective Services reported that there were marks, bruises, scabs and injuries covering two of the children, according to the warrant seeking to search the home for evidence to support the kids’ claims.

The teens went to live with family in November of last year.

No charges have been filed in connection with the case.
