Chapel Hill man found dead on Carolina Beach
A body that washed ashore at a North Carolina beach last week has been identified as a Chapel Hill man.

CAROLINA BEACH, N.C. — A body that washed ashore at a North Carolina beach last week has been identified as a Chapel Hill man.
Carolina Beach Police Sgt. Scott Hettinger said officers received a call late Thursday night about a body in the surf.
A Good Samaritan pulled the man's body out of the water, but he was dead by the time emergency personnel arrived.
Police on Monday identified the man as Thomas James Dickerson, 69.
A cause of death hasn't been determined, but foul play is not suspected, police said.
