Police on Monday identified the couple involved in an attempted murder-suicide in a Knightdale home on Saturday.


<b>KNIGHTDALE, N.C.</b> — Police on Monday identified the couple involved in an attempted murder-suicide in a Knightdale home on Saturday.

Richard Lee Roberts Jr. shot Chaila Janai Diaz inside their home at 201 Hope Valley Road on Saturday afternoon before turning the gun on himself, police said.

Diaz was taken to WakeMed for treatment and was in stable condition on Monday, police said. 

The couple's 14-year-old daughter was home at the time but was not injured, police said.
