Police: Husband shoots wife, himself at local racquetball club
A husband and his wife died in a shooting at a Wilmington racquetball club on Tuesday, officials said.

WILMINGTON, N.C. — A husband and his wife died in a shooting at a Wilmington racquetball club on Tuesday, officials said.
Police told WECT News that Dimitre Dimitrov, 64, shot his wife and then himself.
Court records obtained by WECT News showed that the couple was going through a divorce and were in a bitter custody battle over their 12-year-old son. The files show that both the husband and wife alleged verbal and physical abuse against one another.
While children were in the area at the time of the shooting, no one else was injured.
A spokesperson with the Holly Tree Racquet Club said the couple were not members of the tennis facility.
