GARNER, N.C. — A woman was grazed by a bullet while inside her own home Thursday morning as more than a dozen shots were fired.

Officials at the scene told WRAL News her injuries were so minor the woman, 27, didn't even go to the hospital. Garner police said approximately 14 shots were fired into the home.

The shooting was reported just before 5 a.m. at a home on Avery Street, near North Garner Middle School.

Investigators were still at the scene at 6:30 a.m.

Crime scene tape surrounded a car in the neighborhood, and multiple shell casings were in the street.

Offices are still trying to figure out who fired the shots along with a possible motive.

This story will be updated.
