Police are investigating after a body was found on Sunday in Durham.

<b>DURHAM, N.C.</b> — Police are investigating after a body was found late Sunday morning in south Durham.

Officials in Durham said a body was found near railroad tracks close to the North Carolina Highway 54 and Apex Highway intersection. The railroad tracks run behind the Big Lots and Auto Zone shopping center located at 4719 S. Apex Highway.

No other information was immediately available.
