DURHAM, N.C. — A Durham teen was charged Monday with robbing a delivery driver last week.

Authorities said the driver was attempting to make a delivery at an apartment complex in the 900 block of Wadesboro Street at about 5:20 p.m. on Jan. 3 when a teen approached him to ask if he was lost.

A second teenager then appeared with a shotgun and the pair took the driver’s phone, keys, cash and the order of Chinese food he was delivering, police said.

Daravyion Deshawn Jenkins, 16, was arrested Jan. 5 and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and felony conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon. He was being held at the Durham County Jail under $250,000 bond.

The second teen involved in the incident had not been charged or identified as of Monday afternoon, police said.
