Police: Dozens of teens involved in fight at Hanes Mall in Winston-Salem

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Hanes Mall was shut down Saturday night after a large fight involving teenagers broke out near the food court.
According to WXII, police said three teens were arrested in connection to the fight. At least one of the teens arrested was under the age of 18.
Winston-Salem police said the incident happened around 6:30 p.m., when the mall's curfew was in effect. Officers said 80 to 100 teens were involved in the disturbance. Police quickly cleared the mall upon arriving at the mall.
In a tweet from the Winston-Salem police, authorities confirmed that while there were reports of gunshots, no reports of gunfire have been substantiated by police.
According to police, the mall will remain closed until 12 pm. Sunday.
