Police: Dog bit person at north Raleigh post office

— Multiple police officers responded to a United States Postal Service office off Falls of Neuse Road on Friday after a dog bit someone inside.

According to the Raleigh Police Department, someone brought the dog to the post office. The person the dog bit was not seriously injured.

Before 9 a.m., WRAL News received tips that police told staff and patrons to temporarily leave the building.

At 9:30 a.m., Sky 5 video showed people standing in the parking lot. The entrance to the office was blocked off, but the situation did not appear to be urgent.

By 10 a.m., people were being allowed back inside the post office.

The office is located at 7800 Falls of Neuse Road near Strickland Road.
