CLAYTON, N.C. — A 20-year-old Clayton man was arrested Friday at his home after police say he fired a shotgun at his neighbor.

Teodoro Aucecio Cecilio, of 600 Woodbriar St., faces one count of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. He was taken to the Johnston County jail and placed under a $150,000 bond.

Officers were dispatched to the Clayton Estates Mobile Home Park on Thursday after a 22-year-old woman was shot in the leg and lower back with what appeared to be birdshot pellets from a shotgun, police said.

The woman, whose name was not released, told investigators that she had some friends over and they got into an altercation with a group of people walking down the street. That's when police say Cecilio pulled out a gun and fired toward the woman and her friends.

She was treated and released at WakeMed. No one else was injured.
