— A lone man robbed a Chapel Hill bank Thursday morning, police said.

A spokesman for the Chapel Hill Police Department said a black man in his 50s entered the Wachovia Bank, at 101 Banks Drive, just before 10 a.m. and presented a note to a teller demanding money. Police described the suspect as having salt-and-pepper hair and a gray beard.

No one was injured, and the alleged robber left the bank on foot in the direction of Chapel Hill North shopping center, police said.
