Police Arrest 3 in Roxboro Shooting, Including Victim
The incident happened just before dismissal at the nearby Southern Middle School, which was locked down for a time as a precaution.
Posted — UpdatedROXBORO, N.C. — Police charged three people in a shooting Tuesday, including the victim, who was wounded in the leg, they said.
The incident at 211 Shale Circle prompted officials to lock down nearby Southern Middle School for a time and delay dismissal until officers were sure they had the situation under control.
Police got the initial call just before 3 p.m., Person County dispatchers said.
The shooting victim was treated at al hospital before being arrested, police said.
Officials withheld other details of the incident while they investigated.
