Police: Fayetteville's 911 service restored after brief outage

Fayetteville's 911 service was restored Thursday morning after being out for about an hour, police said.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville's 911 service was restored Thursday morning after being out for about an hour, police said. 

Residents needing to contact emergency services for an immediate response should call 911. 

In non-emergencies, residents can still call 910-433-1529 or 910-433-1530 to speak with someone from the Fayetteville Police Department. 

It wasn't clear what caused the outage.
