The Raleigh park features a unique slide that's built along the slide of a hill.

Glen Eden Pilot Park is a smaller neighborhood park just inside the Beltline off Glen Eden Drive.

It's a nice park, with a large picnic shelter, basketball courts, tennis courts, a pond, trails and some nice open spaces for running around. There's a small playground too with some older equipment. It wouldn't stand out if it weren't for the slide, a metal tube built down along a small hill with steps that will take kids back up to the top again.

So as you look for picnic spots as the weather turns warmer, keep Glen Eden in mind. Watch the video to check out the slide and see some other scenes of Glen Eden Park.

Glen Eden Park is at 1500 Glen Eden Dr. in Raleigh. There are a couple of access points to the park. To get to the playground, the best entrance is off Eden Croft Drive, a short drive up from the main entrance off Glen Eden. You'll find a small parking lot right next to the playground.
