Plane skids off runway at RDU

A twin-engine Piper aircraft experienced problems as it was rolling down the runway and ended up in the grass. Two people were on board and there were no injuries.

Plane skids off runway at RDU
MORRISVILLE, N.C. — Mechanical problems caused a plane to skid off a runway at Raleigh-Durham International Airport Saturday, airport officials said.

A twin-engine Piper aircraft experienced problems as it was rolling down the runway and ended up in the grass. Two people were on board and there were no injuries.

All general aviation traffic was kept off the runway until the plane was towed away.
