Single-engine plane crashes in Fayetteville

Authorities said a small plane carrying four passengers crashed in Fayetteville Friday evening.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. — Authorities said a single-engine plane carrying four passengers crashed in Fayetteville Friday evening.

Officials located the aircraft in a wooded area of Clark West Road. Authorities said all four passengers on board survived the crash

The passengers—all adults—did not sustain major injuries and were out of the plane when emergency crews arrived at the scene.

Officials said the plane was not scheduled to land at the Fayetteville Regional Airport.

No additional information has been released. A Federal Aviation Administration investigation is pending, officials said.
