According to WRAL meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner, the work week will continue to be beautiful, with just a few storms possible mid-week and into the weekend.

Gardner said Tuesday will feel almost cool at times, with dew points in the 40s. Highs will be in the low 80s with a mix of sun and clouds, making for a mild, pleasant day.

On Wednesday, a cold front could bring a few isolated storms to the Triangle, but the chance for afternoon rain and storms is so slight that it shouldn't affect outdoor plans. Humidity will stay fairly low throughout the week, and Thursday and Friday will be similarly mild before a chance for storms reappears on Saturday.

According to Gardner, people headed to the beach this weekend shouldn't worry about the weather. "The chance for afternoon storms on Saturday is slim," said Gardner. "It will be an absolutely beautiful week."
