Pitt County man wanted for shooting son

Pitt County sheriff's deputies were searching for a man accused of shooting his son during an argument Saturday morning.

FARMVILLE, N.C. — Pitt County sheriff's deputies were searching for a man accused of shooting his son during an argument Saturday morning.

CBS affiliate WNCT in Greenville reports that Billy Ray Tyson Sr., 44, shot his son, Billy Ray Tyson Jr., three times outside a house on Chinquapin Road in Farmville.

Tyson Jr. underwent surgery at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.

Tyson Sr. is wanted on charges of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.
