GREENVILLE, N.C. — A Pitt County mom said a deputy was in "the right place [and] the right time of day" during a grocery store trip on Monday.

The mom posted on Facebook that Deputy Nathan Hill decided to buy all of her groceries for supper.

Before that, she said Hill was playing with her son J.J. and "talking about Thomas the Train."

The Pitt County Sheriff's Office share the post and said, "Deputy Hill went above and beyond, not out of duty, but out of his good heart."
