Pilot crashes single-engine plane near Kannapolis

Kannapolis, N.C. — A single-engine airplane crashed on Saturday in a wooded area just west of Kannapolis.
The experimental plane went down just before 4 p.m.
Pilot Paul Baker, 78, of Mooresville, suffered serious injuries. No other passengers were on board.
More details, including the cause of the crash, haven't been released.
