Pikeville man charged with child sex offenses
A 49-year-old man is facing charges in connection with the sexual assault of a child, the Wayne County Sheriff's Office said Monday.

PIKEVILLE, N.C. — A 49-year-old man is facing charges in connection with the sexual assault of a child, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said Monday.
Donald Scott Taylor, of the 100 block of Leigh Street in Pikeville, is charged with four counts of first-degree sex offense with a child and four counts of indecent liberties with a child.
Deputies said they received a report from a victim who said she was molested from the age of 6 until she was 12 years old. She said the incidents took place in the suspect’s home.
Deputies said Taylor has been cooperative in the investigation. He was held on a $4.1 million secured bond.
