Pickup hits utility pole; driver injured
State troopers said that alcohol was a factor in a single-vehicle wreck in Garner that injured one man early Friday.
Posted — UpdatedGARNER, N.C. — State troopers said that alcohol was a factor in a single-vehicle wreck in Garner that injured one man early Friday.
A pickup truck driver lost control while going around a curve on New Bethel Church Road shortly before 2:30 a.m., troopers said. The driver over-corrected, and the pickup spun around. The rear of the truck hit a utility pole, snapping it in half.
The driver suffered minor cuts and scrapes, troopers said. Power crews will replace the broken utility pole.
