Being a WRAL.com web editor is great, but I have to admit, part of me has always been fascinated by TV news photography. Since I’m not able to do both jobs, I live vicariously through my co-workers, especially WRAL photojournalist Richard Adkins.
I enjoy following him on Twitter and seeing all the great behind-the-scenes photos he posts, along with his clever tweets. Here are a few of my favorites:

Yeah... I'm getting paid for this... Canoeing the Neuse
It's not every day you can stop and stand at the apex of the Bonner Bridge!
We're live at the old well.
Today in Sky 5 we helped rescuers locate two boaters who were in the water for nearly an hour.

A parking job to be proud of.
Camp Kitty Hawk... Back-up another 12 feet and and we'll call this truck The USS Unit 6.
Teaching blind, disabled and disadvataged kids to surf in Wrightsville Beach... These men are better than me.

So if the yellow tape is tied to my truck, does that make me part of the problem or part of the solution?
Trying to get air... A/C is not working in the helicopter... How quickly we get spoiled!
Shhhhh.... Don't show this picture to my boss... If he knew I'd do this for free I'd never be able to pay my bills!
